Funeral services were held in the Maxwell Church of the Brethren on Sunday afternoon, April 6 at 2:30 with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill of Nevada assisted by Rev. L. R. Bucklew in charge. The many beautiful floral tributes were cared for by Mrs. R. Z. Brown, Mrs. Gleen Myers and Mrs. Ada Hunter. Casket bearers were nephews of the deceased, namely, Gleen Myers, Lester Myers, Paul Atkinson, Virgil Atkinson, Raymond Meyers and merle Meyers. Mrs. Ray Gooden sang “The Old Rugged Cross,” “In the Garden” and “Beyond the Sunset” with Mrs. Arthur Porter at the piano. Burial was in the family lot in the Brethren Cemetery.” “CARD OF THANKS – Our heartfelt thanks to all who extended comforting sympathy and help in our recent sorrow.
