Clarence Tvedt Funeral Services Held In Story C.

Clarence Tvedt was born Aug. 1, 1884 on a farm in Concord Township, Hardin County, the son of Ole K. and Johanna Tvedt. He died at the Story City Memorial Hospital on Thursday, Oct. 11, having been a patient there for only a few hours. He was 78 years old at the time of his death.

Clarence farmed near Zearing for a number of years and retired from the farm in 1948. He, with his sister, Belle and brother, John, then moved to the home in Story City. John died in 1951.

He was a member of the St. Petri Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and three brothers. He is survived by one brother, Rexford of Radcliffe and two sisters, Mrs. Ellwood (Amy) Ose of McCallsburg and Belle, of Story City, as well as by four nieces and one nephew.

Services

Funeral services for Tvedt were held in the St. Petri Lutheran Church on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 2 p. m. Pastor George C. Strum officiated. Nrs, Alfred Jacobson was at the organ and David Greedy sang "I Know of a Sleep in Jesus Name" and "Behold a Host Arrayed in White."

Pallbearers were F. C. Booth, T. M. Holm, Otis Quam, Ross Morris, Floyd Ritland and James Walters.

Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Relatives attending from a distance included Mrs. Gene Bauer, Odale and Shirley Ose of Elgin, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. David Lantz of Waukesha, Wis., Dan Tweed and Dan Veland of Prairie Farm, Wis.
