Funeral Services at Zearing Wednesday For Mrs. John Schuler

Zearing, May 11--Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ here at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Mark H. Scott officiating. The pallbearers were Boyd Stone, Sam Oaks, Guy Perisho, Clyde Bailey, Delos Dakins, Lee Moore.

The singers were Mrs. J. D. Hankins and Mrs. Harry Martin and Miss Jean Twentier was the pianist. The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Guy Perisho and Mrs. Clyde Bailey.

Those from away attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Schuler and son Bernice of Welcome, Minn., Mrs. Ray Spurling, Mrs. Floyd Bryant, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Clemons, Mrs. Winnie Uhde and daughter Evelyn, Arnold Uhde, Maxine Chance of Marshalltown; Mr. and Mrs. Fernie Schuler; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wingert and daughter Reta, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Wingert, Mrs. Lena Thake, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Moore, Mr. and Mrs. George Coleman, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Chance, all of State Center; Mr. and Mrs. Malmin Olson of Radcliffe; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Schuler, Mr. and Mr. Will Schuler of Colo; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schuler, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Apple of Fernald; Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Olson of McCallsburg, and possibly others.

Alta Mae Bryant was born near Zearing, Ia., Jan. 2, 1886, the youngest daughter of Daniel and Cynthia Bryant, and has spent most of her life in this community, having spent only two years in Minnesota.

She was married to John Schuler March 9, 1905 and passed away May 4, 1942, at the age of 56 years, 4 months and 2 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and two sons, Lawrence and Manford at home, and daughter, Mrs. Goldie Chance of Zearing, and granddaughter, Maxine Chance of Marshalltown, and a brother, George, of Omaha, Neb.

Three sons and one daughter preceded her in death, they having died in infancy.

Mrs. Schuler was a member of the Church of Christ for the past 18 years and highly respected woman, a loving wife and mother to her family and always ready to help neighbors and friends.
