Mrs. Ella Vinsel Dies Here On Wed. At The Age of 94

Mrs. J. A. (Ella) Vinsel, Des Moines, died yesterday at 8:55 p.m. in the Maurie Borton Nursing Home, where she had been a patient since November 18, 1961.

Mrs. Vinsel, who had been in failing health for the past several years was 94 years of age.

Mrs. Vinsel was born January 13, 1868 at Ainsworth, Ia., the daughter of Edwin and Abbie Blanchard. She was married to John A. Vinsel at Russell, Ia., January 13, 1886. She was a member of the Cottage Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church in Des Moines, a past president of the Presbyterian Ladies Association; a member of the Mary Helen Circle of the Kings Daughters, Honorary member of Board of National Missions of Presbyterian Churches of U.S.A.

Survivors include two sons, H. M. (Bert) Vinsel of Nevada, Kenneth P. Vinsel of Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Francis B. Stevenson, Des Moines; two grandsons, two granddaughters and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1949 and by daughter, Mrs. Elmer Brownlie in 1952.

Funeral services for Mrs. Vinsel will be held in Des Moines Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Cottage Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Edward P. Ingersoll officiating. Burial will be in the Chariton Cemetery at Chariton, Ia.

Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home until Saturday morning.
