STORY CITY
Mr. Tom Ersland, a highly respected farmer living three miles west of town, died of appendicitis at six o'clock last Thursday evening after an illness of only four or five days. An operation was performed earlier in the day by Doctors Emmet and Rice; but nothing could be done for the stricken man. Funeral services were held at three o'clock Sunday afternoon in St. Peter's church, the church being packed from wall to wall. The wife and three small children that he leaves have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.
