DEATHS
Funeral services for Theodore T. Hoversten were held in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 with Rev. C. A. Gesselquist in charge.
Rev. Ramon Runkel brought greetings on behalf of the family. Miss Louise Olson was organist. Mrs. Clara Anderson sang "God Will Take Care of You" and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Sansgaard sang "Burdens Are Lifted At Calvary." The services closed as the congregation sang "Beautiful Savior."
Nephews were pall bearers: David Hoversten, Harvey Pederson, Kenneth Buckwoldt, Herbert Halleland, Jr., Stanley Hoversten and Herman Hoversten.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the former Clar Lake Octette of which Mr. Hoversten was a member for many years-- Emmett Olson, G. O. Fardal, Truman Quam, Helmer Satre, M. E. Fardol, William Parker and Ted Quam.
Theodore, son of Thor and Gjertrud Flettre Hoversten was born April 22, 1892 in Hamilton County, Ia. he was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Knutson.
On May 27, 1914, he was united in marriage to Malinda Skeie. They farmed west of Randall for many years and after retirement, moved to Story City in 1962 where Mr. Hoversten took an active part in the affairs of the church and of the community.
He died at his home in Story City on July 22 at the age of 76 years after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife, Malinda; a sister, Mrs. A. F. (Gertrude) Bockwoldt of Stanhope.
Interment was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

T. Runkel, Joe Nordskog, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Satre, Mrs. Bob Wellis and Gayle, all of Des Moines and Willard Peterson, Indianola.
