Rites Tuesday at Funeral Home For Amanda Anderson

Mrs. Amanda Anderson, 93, 905 D Ave., died Saturday, January 13 at 5:45 p.m. at the Story County Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past two days.

She had been ill for six weeks.

Mrs. Anderson was born March 13, 1868 in Sweden, the daughter of John and Charlotte Jo Hanson [should be Johanson.] She had lived in Nevada for the past 23 years.

She was married to Emil Anderson January 19, 1891 at Libertyville, Ia.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include one son, Elmer Anderson of Nevada; one granddaughter, one great granddaughter and one brother Oscar Jo Hanson [should be Johanson] in Sweden. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband in 1951.

Funeral services will be at the Ryan Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 16 at 2 p.m. with the Elder E. B. Hallsted officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
