Maybell Holder Nelson was born January 13, 1876, in Story county, Iowa, nd at the age of 15 years was converted under the preaching of Dr. Bunce at the Wilderness school house four miles south of Nevada and united with the Evangelical Church. A few years later she removed to Nevada with her parents and there she united with the Methodist church of that place. She lived an exemplary life and was loved by all who knew her. When trials came she always looked on the brighter side and died as she had lived. She was married to F. J. Nelson March 19, 1899, and with him removed to Crookston, Minn., March 12, 1901, at which place she lived until the time of her death, which occurred April 18, 1903. She was laid to rest in the Crookston cemetery there to await the resurrection morn. She leaves a husband and a three months old babe and father, mother, five brothers and two sisters, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Saterly of the M. E. church.
