THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, August 9, 2005.

Evelyn Telean Benn, 77, of Story County, died Saturday, Aug. 6. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, at Adams Funeral Home in Ames. Interment will be in Gilbert Cemetery.

Evelyn Telean Benn was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Maxwell. She was a lifelong Story County resident. She was a homemaker and long time member of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed collecting and selling antiques.

She is survived by one daughter Rebecca (Dana) Warg of Pasadena, Calif.; one son, Timothy (Stephanie) Benn of Ames; five grandchildren Andrew Warg, Heidi Dudgeon, Heather Meeks, Zach and Luke Benn, three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Mae Tett of Ames and Jean Klein of Greenville, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Benn; her parents; and two brothers Ed, Frank and Fred Kaltenheuser.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, and from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service on Friday, Aug. 12, at Adams Funeral Home in Ames.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bethany Manor, 212 Lafayette, Story City, IA, 50248.
