John Raymond Brodie

Nevada, Ia.--Services for John Raymond Brodie of Nevada will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Cooper-Ryan Funderal Home here, with burial in Woodland Cemetery at Iowa Center. Mr. Brodie, 85, died of a heart attack Friday at Bethany Manor Nursing Home in Story City.

Born in Fernald, he lived in Story County all his life and retired from farming. He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.

Surviving are two sons, Jerry and Steve, both of Nevada, a daughter, Joyce Leonard of Grundy Center, four sisters, Mabel Larson and Jennie Christy, both of Story City, and Mary Bond and Roselma Hansen, both of Ames; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call fro 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
