The farm where she was born was always her home until her marriage Oct. 29, 1916 to Mr. Chas. W. Husberg [sic] whose home is near Sycamore, Ill. Their married life was brief but happy to a severe attack of pneumonia last spring from which she never fully recovered. After consulting a specialist in Chicago, who have them very little hope of recovery and advised a change, her husband brought her to her old home last week, hoping that after a rest the journey farther west and perhaps regain her health. The end came when she had been at home but two days. Those dearest to her were all with her during that time. Mrs. Husberg [sic] was a member of the Congregational church at Sioux Rapids (where she and her sister Miss Lizzie conducted a millinery store a few years ago.) She also belonged to the Rebekah lodge at Sioux Rapids. Her sincere Christian character, and quiet, kindly manner won for her a host of friends who are deeply grieved by her untimely death. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. F. R. Shirck pastor of the Lutheran church in Nevada. Rev. Shirck spoke words of comfort from the text, "Cast thy burden on the Lord and he shall sustain thee," Ps. 55:22. Interment was made in the Colo cemetery.
