FORMER RESIDENT BURIED FRIDAY

James W. Thompson, who formerly lived in this city on the Lincoln Highway and who died at Parker S. D. on August 22, was buried from Morfoot and Morfoot Undertaking parlors on Friday afternoon, with interment in the Nevada cemetery.

Mr. Thompson died of hardening of the arteries at his adopted home in South Dakota after a short illness and his remains were accompanied to this city by his widow and Mr. and Mrs. T. V. Smith, who also formerly lived in this County.

The services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. E. C. McDade of the Methodist church and the remains were followed to their final resting place by many of the former friends of the deceased, the pall bearers being men who had known and associated with him, during his residence here.

The dead man was the son of the late I. B. Thompson* a pioneer in this community and had reached the age of sixty years at the time of his death. He leaves two children beside his widow.
