DEATHS

MARY (MALIET) WHEELOCK

Mary (Maliet) Wheelock, 92, a resident of Colonial Manor in Zearing, died Tuesday, April 17, 1984, at the Story County Hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada with Fr. James Supple officiating. Burial will b in the Colo Catholic Cemetery.

Mary Maliet was born to Nicholas and Anna Maliet in Zearing on March 16, 1892. She was married to Bernard Wheelock on March 1, 1916, in Zearing . Bernard Wheelock preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wheelock was a lifelong resident of the Zearing and Nevada communities, a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada, the American Legion Auxiliary in Zearing and was a Gold Star mother.

Survivors include six children, Paul of Zearing, Carl of Banning, Calif., Francis of Zearing, Rose Mary Young of Cedar Falls, Vincent of Westlake Village, Calif., and Helen Bauserman of Hot Springs, Ark., 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and one brother, Demmy Maliet of Ames.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wheelock was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Ronald, and three grandchildren.

A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night at the Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing.
