Michael Maliet, 91, died Wednesday, services Saturday

NEVADA -- Michael F. Maliet, age 91, R.R.1, died Wednesday evening at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames where he had been for the past week. Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, Saturday, Feb. 14 at 9 a.m. Fr. Franz Lohberg will officiate with burial in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Nevada.

Born April 17, 1884 in Zearing to Nicholas and Anna Maliet, he lived in the Story County area all his life. He was a member of the Catholic Church, the Royal Neighbor Lodge and the Railroad Union.

He is survived by one son, Merle of Nevada, two brothers; Charles of Nevada and D. M. of Ames; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Wheelock of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gertrude, two brothers and three sisters.

Rosary will be recited at the Ryan Funeral Home Friday, Feb. 13 at 8:15 p.m.
