M. O. Anderson Funeral Services Tuesday Afternoon

Special to the Journal.
Roland, Nov. 13--M. O. Anderson, 67, lifelong resident of the Roland community died at the Story City hospital Saturday at 3:20 of a heart attack, following an operation for hernia on Oct. 30.

Funeral services will he held Tuesday afternoon, with prayer at the home at 1:30 and the funeral at Bergen Lutheran church at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery. Rev. M. O. Sumstad will be in charge.

Martin O. Anderson, son of a pioneer Milford township family, was born Nov. 3, 1872.

United in marriage to Mary Hegland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hegland April 17, 1899, thy located firth on a farm a mile south of Roland. Living there for nine years, they moved into Roland where Mr. Anderson, with his brother J. T. Anderson, engaged in the garage business.

Disposing of this business in 1918 Mr. Anderson moved onto the farm a mile and a half west of Roland where they lived until about a year ago when the family moved back into Roland.

Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, three of them dying in infancy. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Anderson, a daughter Mrs. Chester Pearson of near McCallsburg and sons Belford Anderson of Minneapolis an Milvern Anderson of Chicago, and four grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson's aged father, the venerable Michael Hegland, lived in the home also.

He also leaves sisters Mrs. John Egenes of Roland and Nellie and Ellen Anderson of Minneapolis and brothers Ole B. of Roland, John O. of Story City and J. T. of Des Moines.
