Former Story County Man Dies at Swaledale

Alby Kuhn, son of the late Henry Edward and Elzina Apple Kuhn, passed away in the Rockwell hospital, Rockwell, Iowa, June 15, 1939 at the age of 60 years, 3 months, 2 weeks and 4 days. He was born on what was known as the Edd Kuhn farm northeast of Fernald; it was there he grew to manhood. On January 9, 1907 he was married to Miss Sarah Graham and to this union four children were born Ellen, now Mrs. Homer Stilson of Hampton, Merril who died in infancy; Violet, now Mrs. Hillis Hudson of Hampton and Harold at home.

He leaves to mourn his death besides his wife and children, six grand daughters, three brothers and four sisters. They are M. A. and A. F. Kuhn of Rodman, Jess M. of Ames, Mrs. C. P. McKowen and Mrs. Alvira Apple of Lake Crystal, Minn.; Mrs. Ellen Cline of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Andrew Picht of Nevada. There are also several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were at Swaledale, Iowa, near his home and interment was in Oak Hill cemetery at Johnson Grove June 17.
