Mrs. Sherwood Died at Daughter's Home at Story City

Special to the Journal:
Story City, April 14--Mrs. Cora Sherwood, 64, died Thursday at 3:45 p. m. at the home of her daughter Mrs. Irene Sowers, with whom she had been making her home since September. She suffered a heart attack about two weeks ago and her condition had been serious since.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at Elk City, Neb., where she had lived for many years and her body will be laid to rest by the side of that of her husband.

She was born at Boone, Iowa, but her home had been at Elk City for many years The husband is dead but she is survived by seven children, they being Mrs. Irene Sowers of Story City, LeRoy Haberer of Colorado Springs, Walter Sherwood and Harold Sherwood of Elk City, Mrs. Grace Gottberg of Weston, Neb., and Mrs. Helen Hollins of Rapid City, S. D. She also leaves one brother Charles Sitser of Portland, Oregon.
