Funeral Services For H. T. McHone Held at White Oak

Cambridge, Jan. 29: Funeral services for Henry Ted McHone were held at the White Oak church Saturday afternoon with Rev. LeRoy Sargent in charge. His theme was, "If a man die, shall he live again?"

Three hymns, "Tis So Sweet To Trust in Jesus," "In the Sweet By and By" and "Good Night and Good Morning" were sung by Miss Enolia Bond and Mrs. LeRoy Sargent accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Howard McCauley.

Pall bearers were Leon Sherman, William Fredrick, Lonnie Klonglan, Erwin Bond, Clarice Simpson and Oliver Richardson.

There were many beautiful floral offerings. Interment was made in the White Oak cemetery.

Henry Ted McHone was born to James and Charlotte McHone on a farm in Elkhart township near the town of Elkhart on March 14, 1881.

He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Burns January 10, 1904. To this union was born one daughter Leona. He departed from this life on January 21, 1947 at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 7 days.

He had always lived in the White Oak community and on his farm for more than 40 years. Through all of his sickness he was never heard to complain.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary Ann, one daughter, Mrs. Russell Whitney of Ft. Dodge; three grandchildren, Donald who preceded him in death; Dorothy and Marvin Whitney and a son-in-law, Russell Whitney. One sister, Mrs. Louisa Pence of Elkhart, one brother, Floyd McHone of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and a host of relatives. He also leaves behind a large circle of friends and neighbors who will always remember him with loving thoughts as "Uncle Ted."
