AGED MAN DEAD AT STORY CITY

ANDREW JOHNSON PASSED AWAY AT HOME THERE LAST NIGHT

Story City, July 24--Andrew Johnson, 85, died at the home of his brother John S. Johnson here Thursday about 8:45 p. m., after an illness of about two months duration, during which he had suffered from complications incident to old age.

The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at St. Petri church, with his pastor, Rev. Skarvig in charge. Interment will be at Fairview cemetery, Story City.

The deceased was a native of Norway, where he was born October 18, 1845. He came to America in 1864, locating in this community.

He was married to Esther Bergeson in 1882 and they settled on a farm southeast of Story City, where they lived until about three years ago when they moved to Story City. It was two years ago that the wife died and since that time Mr. Johnson had made his home with his brother John S. Johnson.

He leaves two brothers, they being John S. and Johannas Johnson both of this community.
