PIONEER NEVADA WOMAN IS DEAD

MRS. MOLLIE STONE DIED AT FAMILY HOME AT IOWA FALLS

Mrs. M. E. Stone, 83, died at her the home of her son-in-law, John R. Jackson, 1010 River street, Iowa Falls, Friday evening about 6:45, after an illness which has extended over the winter and spring following an attack of the flu and pneumonia. Death came rather sudden, but of course, not unexpected.

The funeral services will be held at the home in Iowa Falls Sunday afternoon at 2:00, after which the body, accompanied by the funeral party, will come direct to Nevada, and be laid to rest in the family lot by the side of her husband, the late John T. Stone, and her daughter, Mrs. Linna Stone-Jackson who died January 14, 1930.

The funeral party will reach Nevada probably about 4:00, and there will be brief services at the grave.

Mrs. Stone, born in Indiana, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Armstrong, an came with her parents from their Indiana home in the early part of 1855. In the family were the brothers, William E., Simon E. and Henry A., and the sister Carrie M. Waters and one sister Jennie died when a girl.

Her husband was a Civil War veteran and died at the home here about 22 years ago.

After his death Mrs. Stone went first to Tama to live in the home of her only daughter, Linna B. Jackson and family. After a few years there, the family home was moved to Iowa Falls, where they have lived for probably 20 years.

Besides son-in-law, she leaves a granddaughter Irma Jackson and two grandsons Carl and John Ellis Jackson, all of Iowa Falls.

She also leaves one brother, Simon E. Armstrong of Nevada, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Waters of Richmond, Indiana.

Mrs. Waters is expected at Iowa Falls this evening to attend the funeral.

There are also a number of nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Stone was the eldest daughter of one of the real pioneers of Nevada and is well remembered by many of the older residents of the city.

The Stone family lived for many years in the property on the south side of E avenue east of Main street and Mrs. Stone has continued and still owns the west half of that block.
