James Collins Lived in Nevada as Boy

James L. Collins, 69, Marshalltown man who died Friday evening at the home of his sister Mrs. A. G. Branneck at Flora, Ill., was a resident of Nevada as a boy. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church in Marshalltown this morning and interment was in Riverside cemetery.

He was born May 10, 1844, in Canada and came with his parents to Iowa when a boy, settling at Nevada. He went to Marshalltown about 50 years ago and was employed by the old Iowa Central railroad later the M. & St. L. in the shops and on the road as a fireman and engineer, until ill health forced him to retire.

Four sisters survive him Mrs. Margaret Henry and Miss Anna Collins of -----------, N. Y., Mrs. John -------dy of East ------, ---- and Mrs. Brenneck.
