OBITUARY

F. P. ELLICOTT

F. P. Ellicott, long a very prominent resident of the northeastern part of the county and familiarly known as "Polk" Ellicott, died Friday evening at Colfax, where he had been for a short time in the interest of his health, and to which place he had gone from the Sanitarium in Nevada. His death resulted from heart trouble and while his end had been expected at this time, still he had warning that it might come at any time.

Mr. Ellicott was 72 years of age and a native of northern Illinois. He married at Polo in that state Miss Virginia Ambrose, a sister of J. W. Ambrose of this city, and they located on a farm in Sherman township of this county more than thirty years ago. In recent years they made their home in Zearing, which had been their neighboring town during the years of their occupation of the farm. Mrs. Ellicott survives her husband; there are no children. The funeral was conducted Monday afternoon from the house at Zearing, and the body was accompanied by Mrs. Ellicott and Harry Ambrose to Mt. Morris, Illinois, where it is understood interment will take place to day.
