DEATH OF J. O. JUDD

Young Man Passes Away at Colfax, California

J. O. Judd, only son of Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Judd of this city, died yesterday evening at Colfax California, according to a message received by Mr. Judd this morning. The death was sudden but as yet no particulars have been received regarding his illness nor the circumstances surrounding the death. The deceased, who had been away from home almost continually for 21 years, visited his parents last in 1908. He had been in California since April previous to which time he had been in the government service in the canal zone. Twelve years he had spent in the Philippines.

The body will be prepared for interment and shipped to this city, but at this time it will not be possible to say when it will arrive. It is not probable that any funeral services will be held here other than short services at the grave. The deceased was single and leaves besides his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Rasmussen of Spencer, and Mrs. Bess Judd Montgomery of Chicago.
