SLATER.

Mrs. G. N. Whipple died Wednesday the 10th instant at her home in Slater, her funeral was held on the 11th, services being conducted by Rev. Golden, and her remains were taken to Marshalltown for interment. Her age was 48. She was a native of Vermont, grew to womanhood and was married in Illinois, and has resided in Slater 15 years. Here she has endeared herself by good works, and the community unite with the husband, two daughters and two sons in mourning her decease.
