Mrs. Charles Lincoln Died Very Suddenly
Mrs. Charles S. Lincoln, former Ames woman died Monday on the transport Republic at Governor's Island, New York, as she and her husband, Brigadier General Lincoln ended a voyage from San Francisco. Mrs. Lincoln was known in Nevada as a girl as Cora Thompson, being a sister of Mrs. George Whipple who lived in Nevada for a number of years and of Mrs. Harry Tarman.
Her husband, Brigadier General Lincoln, is a son of the late General James Rush Lincoln, former militant commandant at Iowa State college, and a brother of Mrs. W. H. Logsdon of Ames.
General Lincoln and his wife were on their way to Washington, where he is to join the general staff of the army. Until recently he has been stationed at Fort Mason, San Francisco.
