JOSIAH OGLIVIE CALLED BY DEATH

LONGTIME RESIDENT OF COUNTY PASSED AWAY AT IOWA CITY

Josiah F. Oglivie, 77, long time resident of Story county died at the state hospital at Iowa City early Sunday.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Peoria church of Maxwell, with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge. Interment will be in the Peoria cemetery, by the side of his wife who preceded him in death on July 26, 1911.

The body was returned from the hospital Sunday and is at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell, awaiting the funeral and interment.

Mr. Oglivie, who was born August 8, 1856, had lived in the community south of Maxwell, for many years. Later he moved onto a farm north of Colo and after the death of his wife made his home in Nevada for many years, during which time he was engaged in the nursery business. During his residence here he made his home with cousin, Mrs. Mary Abbott.

He leaves his sons Sam Oglivie of near Mason City and Otto Oglivie of west of Nevada, a daughter Mrs. Fannie Quigley and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Joe Parker, the latter of Crookston, Minn.
