DANIEL B. HUHN

Dan B. Huhn, well-known farmer, living southeast of Nevada, was suddenly taken ill about ten o'clock Monday morning (July 11, 1921) and his death came at 11 o'clock. Huhn, who was 54 years old, has long been a resident on his farm near town and was always known as a hard worker and progressive citizen.

He is survived by his sisters: Mrs. J. E. (Laura) Myers and Mrs. Wm. (Kate) Knorpp of Indiana; Mrs. Charles (Abbie) Reed of Illinois; Mrs. Byron (Nellie) Wood, Oklahoma; Mrs. Wm. (Vioma) Farren of Texas; Mrs. Ed (Ella) Shalley of Nevada, Iowa and a brother, Arlie Huhn of Nevada. He leaves his wife, Lucy, and eight children.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the Christian Church. (The Nevada Representative--14 Jul 1921)

Dan B. Huhn, aged about 50 years, well known farmer of southeast of the city died this morning (Monday) about 11 o'clock, a victim of a sudden stroke of apoplexy. Mr. Huhn had been ill more or less of the time for the past couple of years, sufferieng from high blood pressure and other complications, but had been able to be around and was in town the latter part of the week. He was not feeling well when he arose this morning and it was close to 10 o'clock when the stroke which caused his death became apparent. (The Nevada Evening Journal---11 Jul 1921)
