Denton Funeral Services Held Tuesday At Loring

MAXWELL: Funeral service were held Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 27, at 2:00 p.m. for Edith Iona Denton at the Loring E.U.B. church with the Rev. E. R. Walter officiating.

Verlyn Beal, accompanied by Mrs. Ina Larson sang "No Night There" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Ruth Cummings and Mrs. Velma Dunahoo had charge of the beautiful floral offerings.

Casket bearers were Creede Brooke, David Sandquist, Elmer Cummings, Richard Welch, John Lundstrom and George Cairns. Burial was in the Loring cemetery.

Obituary

Edith Iona, daughter of Frank and Ella Mishler, was born Nov. 24, 1913 on a farm near Farrar and passed away at her home near Maxwell at 1:15 a.m. on Nov. 25 after a long period of illness. She was preceded in death by an infant brother.

At the age of 10 she united with the Christian Church in Maxwell.

Later she transferred her membership to the Loring church of which she was an active member as long as health permitted.

She was united in marriage to Bert Denton of Maxwell, Dec. 25, 1935 they have made their home in Maxwell vicinity ever since.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Bert, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mishler, two sisters, Mrs. Marie Webb of Bondurant and Mrs. Hazel Lindsay of Rockwell City and two brothers Ralph of Eagle Grove and Russell of Maxwell; nine nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
