Stephen Carmody Colo Resident, Died This Morning

Colo, Feb. 19--Stephen Carmody who would have been 81 years of age had he lived until Feb. 27, passed away at the home of his nephew Thomas Carmody, southeast of Colo, this morning at 8:45.

Funeral arrangements are awaiting word from relatives at a distance.

Mr. Carmody was ill about a week but had been in poor health for some time. He was born in Forreston, Ill., a son of Michael and Margaret Carmody who came to Story county in 1864 in a covered wagon from Illinois. His death occurred on the Carmody homestead.

He was never married.

Surviving are his brother, Ed Carmody, 1013 J avenue, Nevada and his sister Mrs. Edward Croker who lives at Armour, S. D. A number of nephews and nieces and other relative also survive.
