Fish Funeral Services Conducted at Zearing

ZEARING Funeral services for Dora (Dickinson) Fish were conducted at 2:00 p. m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1956 from the Bethel Evangelical United Brethren church in Zearing. Officiating clergymen were the Reverend Darold D. Eller of Zearing and the Reverend Leo Wilson, pastor of the Calvary E. U. B. church in Colo.

Miss Beeulah Settle played the organ and Mrs. Paul Johns sang two numbers "Beyond the Sunset" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."

The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Waltr Bamford an Mrs. Arthur Perry.

Casket bearers were Lee Fish, John Dickinson, Orien Sealine, Arthur Fish, Richard Thornton and Dick Torry.

The funeral was in charge of the Brouhard Funeral Homes of Zearing and Nevada.

Interment was in the Zearing cemetery.

Life Sketch

Dora Dale (Dickinson) Fish, daughter of James K. and Loretta Dickinson, was born in Story county, Iowa on Jan. 23, 1881 and passed away about 10:30 p. m. at the University Hospital in Iowa City on Nov. 30, 1956, at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 7 days.

Mrs. Fish suffered a hip fracture in a fall on Tuesday, Nov. 27 in the home of her aunt, Mrs. Emma Ozmun, whom she was visiting in Collins. On Wednesday she was removed to the University Hospital in Iowa City where she died on Friday as a result of complications from this fall.

On Dec. 34, 1899 she was married to Ora Francis Fisch who preceded her in death on May 13, 1945. To this union three children were born Howard of Finley, Calif., Harold of Marshalltown and Dale who died on April 13, 1930. She was also preceded in death by her father, mother, a sister and a brother.

For the past few years Mrs. Fish has been a member of Western Home of the E. U. B. church in Cedar Falls. She has been a long-time member of the Evangelical United Brethren church and charter member of the Ladies Aid in Colo.

Survivors include her two sons, Howard and Harold, a sister, Mrs. Della Thornton of Collins, a brother, Delbert Dickinson of Colo, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
