Services for area deaths

ANNA MAE RASMUSSEN

Anna Mae Rasmussen, age 92, died Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Riverside Manor in Ames.

Services are to be held on Friday at Roland at 2 p.m. at Bergen Lutheran Church at Roland with pastor Lybeck officiating.

Anna Mae Woster was born Dec. 15, 1880 near Roland and was the eldest and last surviving child of Knute and Gurina Woster, early pioneers.

She married Rasmus O. Rasmussen January 3, 1907 at Roland and three children were born to the couple. Her husband, R. O. Rasmussen, died in 1952, a son Robert in 1965, a grandson Ramon Thompson in 1970.

She was a Story County resident all her life with the exception of the years (1914-1934) when the family lived at Lake Crystal, Ia. and from August 1967 to June 1971, when she lived in California.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Thompson of Granada Hills, California and Mrs. Florence Austrheim of 1003 Roosevelt Ave., Ames, also seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
