Walter Geisler Rites, Aug. 21
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. in the Maxwell Methodist Church for Walter Geisler, who died at his home in Maxwell Friday August 19 following a prolonged illness. He was 75 years old.
Rev. Dale Ellsworth officiated at the service with Don Myers, accompanied by Miss Elaine Mohr at the organ, providing special music.
Mrs. Rhoda Grown, Mrs. Joe Aldrich an Mrs. Albert Link were in charge of the flowers. Casket bearers were Rick Geisler, Larry Osmundson, Robert Mindham, Danny Geisler, Kenneth Geisler and Douglas DeVault.
Burial was in Graham Cemetery at Mingo.
OBITUARY
The son of John E. and Katherine Enabnit Geisler, he was born at Mingo May 13, 1891 and had farmed all his life in the Maxwell and Mingo communities until ill health forced her retirement.
Survivors were his wife, Hazel; four sons, Gayle of Des Moines, Clifford and Bill, Colo, and Francis of Nevada, two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Zerelda) DeVault, Colo, and Mrs. B. L. (June) Wilson, Des Moines, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Oscar (Rose) Jones of Reinbeck, Mrs. Emma Hay, Collins and Mrs. Viola Lozier, Hollywood, Calif.; two brothers, John of Collins and Louis, Ankeny, and many relatives and friends.
