Mrs. Bertah Torsdah (sic) Dies at Story City Saturday At Age 93

Mrs. Bertha Torsdahl, 93, Story City, died at the Story City Memorial Hospital Saturday morning. She had been a patient for the past week.

Born January 15, 1873 in Huxley, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Berhow. She lived most of her life in the Huxley Community, but had lived in Story City since 1945.

Her husband, "Sac" Torsdahl, died in 1948. Three children survive: a son Arthur of Beaver Creek, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Wendell Halterman of Roland, Mrs. Homer Larson of Story City, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

For the past four and a half years Mrs. Torsdahl has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Homer Larson and has been bedfast all that time.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City with the Rev. Reuben Aga officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Lutheran Cemetery at Huxley.

The body will lie in state at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home, Story City, until Tuesday noon.
