DEATHS

Robert Comfort

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 31 in the Zearing Christian Church for Robert R. Comfort, 76, who died Saturday, May 25 in the Story County hospital in Nevada.

Casket Bearers were Ralph W---ers, John Lane, Paul Lundy, Max McBride, Leo Jones and Albert Dana. Clergymen were Rev. John Baitto and Rev. Phillip Sharp. Burial was in the Zearing cemetery. Brouhard funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Robert Comfort was the son of Fred and Kittie Comfort, born February 1, 1890 in Des Moines. He was educated in various schools in Iowa, and attended the Friends Academy in New Providence. He was married to Sarah Johnston March 18, 1914, they farmed in the Zearing area many years and at the time of his death lived at the farm home south of New Providence. He was a member of the Chester Friends Church.

Surviving are his wife Sarah, two daughter, Mrs. Forrest (Kathryn) Turner of Zearing and Mrs. Kenneth (Bess) Holveck of Clemons; three brothers Paul, Nevada, Ralph, New Berg, Oregon, Forrest, Ardmore, Penn, three grandsons and one granddaughter.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two sons, two sisters and one brother.
