THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, August 19, 1926, page 1, column 5. "Sarah Ann Pike was born near Hagerstown, Md., April 20, 1837, and departed this life August 13, 1926, aged eighty-none years, three months and twenty three days. She was the daughter of Solomon and Mary Nalley. She was married to Francis Pike, September 17, 1857. Mrs. Pike united with the Brethren church in 1877 and lived a consistent Christian life until she was called to her reward. She leaves to mourn their loss, three daughters, one son, fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, one half sister, two half brothers and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday morning, August 15, at the Brethren church, south of Maxwell, conducted by Rev. E. D. Fiscel, of Yale. Interment was by the side of her husband in the Brethren cemetery east of the church. Card of Thanks. We wish to extend our sincere thanks to our kind neighbors and friends for their help during the illness and death of our dear mother, also our appreciation of the many beautiful flowers.
