Sylvia Anfinson dies Tuesday

Mrs. Sylvia D. Anfinson, 72, died at Story City Bethany Manor on Tuesday night.

Born on Nov. 1, 1899 at Roland, her parents were Jacob J. and Dorthea Hoversten. She lived in Roland until 1944.

On Sept. 10, 1944, she married Joseph C. Anfinson. They lived in Turlock, Calif. until October 1971.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Salem Lutheran Church in Roland with Everett Nelson officiating. Interment will be in the Homewood Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband Joseph Anfinson; four step daughters, Mrs. Myron Rod of Story City, Mrs. Raymond Fear of Jefferson, Mrs. George Kieser of Omaha and Mrs. Francis Ransom of Turlock, Calif.; one step son, LaVerne Anfinson of Webster City, 15 step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Hoversten of Ames and two sisters Mrs. C. A. Fagerland and Mrs. Barney Durby, both of Roland.

Friends and relatives may call on Thursday at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City. On Friday and until time of the services, friends may call at the Soderstrum Funeral Home in Roland.
