THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, November 8, 1906, page 4. "Laid to Rest - Cora Harter was born at Mingo, Jasper county, Iowa, June 10, 1871. She was married to Walter Jarvill in October 1897. They lived on a farm northwest of Maxwell until the fall of 1905, when owing to her poor health, her husband sold everything and they removed to Rocky Ford, Colorado, at which place she died October 31, 1906, of that dread disease, tuberculosis. The remains were shipped to Maxwell for burial arriving here at a few minutes past midnight Sunday morning. The remains were taken to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. Warner. The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. B. White. The deceased leaves a husband and three small children and many relatives and friends to mourn her loss."
