Last Rites Held for Ida Robertson

NEVADA--Funeral services for Mrs. Ida B Robertson, 88 of Nevada, were held from the Nevada Christian Tabernacle, Assembly of God Church Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Truman Robertson assisted by the Rev. Leonard Franz, officiating.

Mrs. Harry Sutherland, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Leonard Franz at the organ when she sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross."
The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Sam Switzer and Mrs. Dale Groomes.

Casket bearers included James Day, Raymond Day, Eugene Nielsen, Alvin Robertson, Carl Switzer and Maurice Wycoff.

Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.

Obituary

Ida B Huffman was born in Princeton, Ill. April 9, 1870 and died in the Story County Hospital in Nevada March 27, 1958.

She was married to James E Robertson May 7, 1890 in Nevada who preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1933. She spent most of her life on a farm near Shipley.

Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Robertson, two of whom preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Jay of Minnetonka Beach, Minn. and John of San Diego., and two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Day of Nevada and Mrs. Velma Boyeyn [should be Boleyn] of Waterloo, also 14 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

She also leaves five sisters, Mrs. Carrie Emerson, Mrs. Lem Oxley and Mrs. John Ernest of Nevada, Mrs. Elmer Taylor and Mrs. Violet Shear [should be Shearer] of Ames.

The deceased was a member of the Assembly of God church in Nevada.

Among immediate relatives here for the funeral were Mr, and Mrs. Jay Robertson and son Alvin of Minnetonka Beach, Minn.; Rev. and Mrs. Truman Robertson and family of Rhinelander, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Noleyn [should be Boleyn] and their daughter and husband of Waterloo and a number of others from Minnesota, northern Iowa and elsewhere.
