Funeral Services for Bert Robinson Held Wednesday at Zearing
Zearing, Jan. 23--Services for J. R. (Bert) Robinson were held in the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing with the Rev. C. L. Fuller in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs. Orpha Hankins with Miss Joyce Adams at the piano. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Guy Clatterbuck and Mrs. Nellie Ricketts. Pallbearers were Fred Thornton, Osa Barnard, Art Couser, Ray Keopple, Chas. Kleespie, and Vernon Moon. Interment was in the Ames cemetery.
J. B. (Bert) Robinson, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Robinson, was born Dec. 4, 1886, at St. Anthony, Iowa. He was educated in the rural grade schools, getting part of his education at State Center, Iowa. He was married on March 25, 1908, to Edna Pearl Golly. To this union one daughter, Lois, was born, but both the mother and daughter preceded the husband and father in death. They had lived in Ames and Waterloo, but when his health failed about 10 years ago, they moved to Zearing.
He is survived by his father and step mother, his two sisters Mrs. Pearl Nausch of Fairmont, Minn. and Mrs. Ethel Grines [should be Grimes] of Ottumwa, and two brothers, Will of Marshalltown and John of Fort Worth, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives from a distance who present for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Robinson of Welcome, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Otto Naush of Fairmont, Minn., Harold Golly of Braham, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Abbas, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Robinson of Marshalltown, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald E. Walt of Marshalltown, Mrs. Ethel Grimes of Ottumwa, Iowa. Friends were Mrs. T. J. Brown, Mrs. Will Ewarlt of Marshalltown, and Mr. and Mrs. S. Evert of Whittemore, Iowa.
