ARNOLD CLIFFORD FRETTE

STORY CITY--Funeral services for Arnold Frette were held in the St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City, at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 with the Rev. T. J. Alvestad officiating.

Mrs. Benjamin Anderson and Truman Quam sang "My God and I" and "It Was For Me" at the service.

Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ole Jacobson, Has Grotness, Roy Frette, Clifford Boe, Orville Olson and Oscar Sunnoe.

Life Sketch

Arnold Clifford Frette, son of Mrs. Bertina Frette and the late Edward Frette was born at Rosendale near Story City, on October 30, 1911.

He died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 at a hospital in Oaklawn, Ill., as a result of an automobile accident. He was 46 years old at the time of his death.

He was employed by the Western Pipe Line Co. in Ill.

Frette was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at St. Pauls Lutheran Church west of Story City.

He was united in marriage to Bernice Nelson of Roland on Oct. 8, 1938. To this union seven children were born, namely: Sonja, Paul, John, Phillip, Mark, Kirsten and Melanie.

Mr. Frette was preceded in death by his father in 1939.

Besides the immediate family he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bertine Frette, Story City; three sisters, Mrs. Burnett Omvig, Fairmont, Minn.; Mrs. Floyd Friest, Garden City; Miss Vernal Frette of Aurora, Ill., also five brothers, Otis, LeVerne, Merle and Bennett of Story City and Ardis of Phoenix, Ariz. and a number of nieces and nephews.
