Mrs. Clarence Goodman

COLLINS -- Solemn Requiem Mass was held Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Haverhill for Mrs. Clarence Goodman who was fatally injured at her home near that place Tuesday morning, Nov. 5, 1957.

Burial was in the Haverhill cemetery in charge of the Avey Funeral Home of Marshalltown. Members of St. Monica's Society and St. Theresa's Study Club, of which she was a member, attended the funeral in groups.

Life Sketch

Iva Marie Dodd, daughter of John and Emma Halterman-Dodd was born at Collins, Iowa Oct. 4, 1913. She spent her childhood there growing to womanhood and receiving her education in the Collins school graduating with the class of 1932.

In 1932 she was united in marriage in State Center to Clarence Goodman and has lived her entire married life near Haverhill.

Four children were born to this union, Pfc. Ronald Goodman of Fort Hood, Tex. and Pfc. Donald Goodman of Albuquerque, N. M., Janet and Susan at home; all of whom survive with the husband.

Also surviving are eight brothers, Vernon and Roy Rodd of Des Moines, John and Lawrence of Colo, Milo of Collins, Amos of Baxter, Clarence of Wellsburg, and Dennis of Cedar Rapids.

Her father, mother and two brothers, Ralph and Floyd, have preceded her in death.
