Mrs. Harriet Brierly [should be Brierley], for nearly fifteen years a resident of township near Zearing, passed this life Wednesday, December 9, 1914, aged 67 years, 3 months and 1 day. She leaves one son John E. Brierly and a foster daughter, Frances Brodie. The funeral was held at the Christian church, Rev. McLaughlin officiating after which the remains were taken to Earlville, Illinois for burial beside her husband and children.
