Final Rites for Mrs. George Berlin

Maxwell, June 27--Old neighbors and friends of the late Mrs. George Berlin gathered at the Maxwell cemetery Friday afternoon at four o'clock to pay last respects to an old time citizen and friend, Mrs. Berlin of Iowa Falls who passed away Wednesday in the home of her daughter (Leona) Mrs. Orville Mills, where she and her husband made their home. Her funeral was held at the Church of Christ in Iowa Falls and the last rites were held here in the Maxwell cemetery in charge of the Rev. H. D. Robinson.

Burial was made in the family lot beside a son who predeceased her a number of years ago. Mrs. Berlin whose maiden name was Lindsay was born and reared at Ames and taught school in Story county a number of years before her marriage. She was a much gifted person, talented and of many fine accomplishments, very generous with a kin and helping hand to all, the rich and poor alike.

She helped to organize the Maxwell cemetery association and was it's first president.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Maxwell and a member of the Jentha Rebekah lodge.

Had she lived until October 31 she would have been eighty years of age. Surviving are her husband and three children, Harry of Iowa Falls, Mrs. Lulu Ellsworth of Des Moines and Leona Mrs. Orville Mills of near Iowa Falls.
