OBITUARIES

Harold Mullihan

Harold "Barney" Mullihan died on Thursday, April 18, 2013, in Milford, Iowa. A visitation was held at Chet Ryan Mortuary on Tuesday, April 23, with a memorial service following at 7:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Franklin Cemetery in Mitchellville.

Barney was born on September 18, 1929, in Mingo, Iowa, to Ivan and Mabel (Streeter) Mullihan. He graduated from Collins High School in 1947. He was a farmer and truck driver, and he retired from Donnelley Marketing in Nevada.

Barney is survived by his wife Marilyn, his children Vicki Keagle of Urbandale, Mike Mullihan of Urbandale, Peggy Evans and her husband John of Collins, Nancy Hermanson and her husband Roger of Story City, their mother Doris Dickel of Ankeny, his stepson Ken Ferguson and his wife Cherie of Spirit Lake, his step daughter-in-law Janice Ferguson of Terril, 9 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 16 step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ruth and Fay, his stepson Hal Ferguson, and his daughter-in-law Cathy Mullihan.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada was entrusted with the care of Barney and his family.
