THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, January 24, 1963, page 1, column 4. "CHARLES FACKLER. - Charles Fackler, son of H. and Louisa K. Fackler, was born October 31, 1890, and passed away at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 17 days in the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton, Iowa. He was born north of Cambridge and in 1902 moved with his parents to the Farrar area, where he has lived and farmed since. On January 21, 1914, he was united in marriage to Bertha Enfield, after which time he became a member of the Church of the Brethren. In four days they would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. He was preceded in death by his parents and only sister, Ella Mae. His survivors include his wife, Bertha, his son Paul, one brother, Harry of Maxwell, 3 nieces and many relatives and friends. Services were held Saturday, January 19th, at the Maxwell Church of the Brethren with Rev. Harold E. Smith officiating. Music was furnished by Alice Gooden. The flowers were in charge of Helen Beal and Garnet Miller. Casket bearers were Bela Norton, Russell Payne, Leon Maxwell, Richard Link, Forest Hendricks and Brace Robertson. Interment was in the Brethren Cemetery."
