GEO. HUTCHINSON DIED EARLY TODAY

PIONEER RESIDENT OF NEVADA PASSED AWAY AFTER LONG DECLINE

George Hutchinson, 83, of 929 Fourth street, died this morning at 5:00 o'clock from complications incident to old age. Mr. Hutchinson one of the real pioneer citizens of Nevada, had been failing during the past few years and his death came not at all unexpected. The body is now at the Bishop Funeral Home.

Mr. Hutchinson, who came to Nevada about 1866 had quite an extensive acquaintance over the county until a few years back and was long well known and respected in Nevada.

Mr. Hutchinson was one of the early day members of the local Masonic lodge and had held all of the chairs in that order.

For many years after coming here he conducted a shoe repair shop, but of later years was employed by various produce houses of he city.

His wife had been dead for 28 years, but his is survived by one son, Clyde Hutchinson of Boone, and his only daughter, Mrs. Stella Knight of Nevada, as well as the grand daughter Florence Knight Barrow, who had always lived in the home.

Mr. Hutchinson was a native of Ohio, being born in Gambier, of that state, February 8, 1848 and came to Nevada as a very young man, closely after the close of the Civil War.

The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Biship Funeral home, after which interment will be in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery, under the ritualistic service of the Masonic lodge.
