HIGHLY RESPECTED LADY PASSES AWAY

Mrs. A. H. Lura Passed Away Last Sunder Afternoon From Cancer of the Stomach From Which She Has Been Suffering For Several Weeks

Mrs. A. H. Lura passed away Sunday afternoon, after an illness that extended over period of three weeks. She has been very low for two weeks, and the last summons had been anticipated. By her sick bed were all her children, who with their father are left to mourn the loss of a loving mother and wife.

Kjersten Olson was born in Hoiland, Norway April 25, 1847 and died on Sunday, April 27, 1913, being 66 years and 2 days old at the time of her death. She came to this country in 1872, first coming to Chicago, but a little later came to Story County. On the 26th of October, 1877 she was united in marriage to A. H. Lura. Immediately after their marriage she together with her husband moved to the farm, where they since have made their home. To this union four children were born. They are: Mrs. A. S. Thompson, of Pontiac, Ill.; Harry Lura of Forest City; Arnold and Bertha Lura of this place. She also leaves one sister and three brothes, they are: Ole Sorenson and Tom Sampson, both of Chicago; Sam Frailand of Valley City, N. D. and Mrs. O. Frailand, of Story City, besides numerous relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lura has a large circle of friends, who were pained to hear of her death Sunday. Through her amiable disposition and Christian character she has won a host of friends. She was an ardent Christian and as such was a faithful attendant at all church services as long as her health permitted her. She was a very patient sufferer and during her entire sickness was never known to complain, but was cheerful at times.

The funeral services were conducted today, from the Salem Lutheran church, by Rev. J. N. Sandven. Interment took place in the Roland cemetery.

The Record wishes to join the many friends of the family in extending to them their sincere sympathy in the hour of their sorrow.
