Funeral Services For E. G. Lowman at Slater

Funeral services for Edward George Lowman, 67, of Kelley were held at the Riis Funeral home in Slater on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

The services were in charge of Rev. Louis Malmin of Des Moines. The many beautiful floral offerings were arranged by Mrs. George Starr and Mrs. J. J. Zimmerman of Kelley.

Rev. Malmin sang a Colo, "My Home Sweet Home," and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cline sang a duet, "Good Night Her But Good Morning Up There."

The pall bearers were Bert Cole, George McMillan, George Wilson, John Echer and Sherman Crabtree of Kelley.

Obituary

Edward George Lowman was born the son of Melissa and will Lowman at Runnells, Iowa, February 18, 1881, at which place he grew to manhood. In 1901 he moved with his parents to Pawnee, Oklahoma.

On November 9, 1903, he was united in marriage to Robert Patten. To this union six children were born.

In the spring of 1910 he and his family moved to Kelley where he worked for the Fort Dodge, Des Moines and Southern Railway company, until health required him to retire two years ago.

The last five weeks he was a patient in the Mary Greeley hospital, his death occuring four o'clock Saturday afternoon, October 2, having reached the age of 67 years, seven months and 14 days.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, mother, father and two brothers.

Survivors

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Jennings Gord of Slater; five sons, Frank and Murlie of Des Moines, George and Richard of Seattle, Wash., and Raymond at home; eight grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, Fred of Des Moines and Harold of Curlew, Iowa, Mrs. Lottie Hagle of Oilton, Okla, Mrs. Joe Vance of Skedee, Okla., and Mrs. John Hagle of Bristlow, Okla., and many other relatives and host of friends.

Burial was made in the Bethlehem cemetery in Slater.
