Funeral Services For Alan Reinertson

Funeral services for Alan Reinerton, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Everett Reinertson, were held in Slater Friday afternoon. At one o'clock a brief prayer service was held at the home and 1:30 services were held at the Bethlehem church with the Rev. P. E. Onstad officiating.

The many beautiful flora offerings were arranged by Mrs. Everett Twit and Mrs. Hubert Twit.

A number of gifts of money to missions and the Children's Home at Ames were presented by relatives and friends.

Marilyn Newman and Patty Brown sang a duet, "Jesus Loves Me," which was a favorite song of little Alan. Rev. Onstad sang a solo, "Tender Shepherd Thou Hast Stilled."

Four little boys served as pall bearers, Arne B. Twit, David Twit, DeWayne Finch and Richard Kennedy. Burial was made in the Slater cemetery.

Obituary

Alan Reinertson was born Sept. 16, 1945, at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines and passed away at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1948, at the age of three years and 19 days. He was baptized in the Lutheran church at Roland in October 1945 by Rev. Holen.

the family moved to the farm near Slater approximately two years ago. Alan's death was caused from severe burns suffered in an accident at his home Oct. 4.

Survivors

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Reinertson, a sister, Linda Jean; the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Reinertson and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hovick, and a large number of relatives and friends.

Following the burial the members of the Legion Auxiliary served a lunch at the home for the family and relatives.
