Hold Final Service For Jennie McKee

CAMBRIDGE -- Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the United Brethren church in Cambridge for Jennie McKee, 85, who passed away Saturday afternoon, Dec. 4, at the Story County home, where she had resided since April. Services were in charge of former pastor Rev. James Miller of Bristow, Iowa, assisted by Rev. Donald Jones of Cambridge.

Mrs. James Woods and Mrs. Keith Lyon sang "In The Garden," "It is Glory Just to Walk With Him" and "Beyond the Sunset."

The casket bearers were C. S. Kent, George Bullard, W. E. Hawks, Harold Bullard, Harry Stowe and Robert Bullard. Burial was in the Cambridge cemetery.

Obituary

Jennie Nellis was born in Fon Du Lac, Wisc., on April 22, 1863, to Jane and Abraham Nellis and moved the same year to Cambridge, where she has since made her home with the exception of the past few months.

She was united in marriage to James A. McKee on September 11, 1888. He preceded her in death in December 1931.

She was a life-time member of the Cambridge United Brethren church.

Survivors

Surviving are a foster son, Raymond McKee of Rockford, Ill., one brother, William Nellis of Phoenix, Ariz., three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; also five nephews and two nieces, besides many friends and neighbors in the Cambridge community.
